Are you tired of browsing the internet looking for women weight loss diet plans that actually work? Well, now you do not have to go anywhere else! That is because I have what you are looking for; a women’s weight loss diet plan that will show you real results.
Women do not usually have time for themselves. With the responsibility of taking care of the house and family, as well as dreams of excelling in their professional life, they barely get time to look after themselves. Being a woman, I know what a female body goes through due to lack of care and attention. That’s why I decided to help other women through my women’s weight loss diet plan. Before I tell you more about it, I would like to discuss a taboo about weight loss.
A taboo about weight loss
Being in a good shape is a dream for many women. However, there is a taboo associated with weight loss that is stopping women from taking a step towards fitness. Many women think that in order to lose weight, they have to starve themselves. However, this is not true because weight loss does not demand you stop eating. What it does do is require you to eat healthily, in good portions and at right time. It bugs me how people think that quitting food is the way to health and fitness because it is not. In fact, when health experts make a diet or fitness plan, our focus is on the diet because diet plays an integral role in weight loss. So, if this false assumption is finally out of your head, we shall proceed and look into a women’s weight loss diet plan where you don’t have to starve yourself.
Understanding diet requirements
The first thing you need to know is that there is something called Calorie Deficit. Before you begin your women weight loss diet plan, you need to know how many calories your body requires. You can have the smallest meal quantity for months but still won’t feel or see any change in your body. So, how many calories do you need? Well, this can be hard to answer because everyone’s calorie requirements are different. Going with an arbitrary number you saw online or heard from a friend is not the best idea. Only a real-life health expert can help you understand your body. Without knowing your actual calorie requirement, a couple of things could happen.
1st: you might consume too few calories which will increase your feelings of hunger and you might end up quitting your diet altogether.
2nd: you might consume too many calories and end up gaining weight instead of losing it.
How many calories does your body need?
Typically, this is how it is calculated.
A health expert will come up with two lines; the first tells you the maximum number of calories you can consume in a day. The second one tells you the minimum number of calories you can consume.
Essentially, you should not go above the first line or below the second line. Remaining closer to the maximum calorie count is easy but there might be a few days when you will be nearer to the second line, but that wouldn’t be a problem. If your calorie consumption remains closer to the first line, you will lose weight; just make sure not to exceed it.
Foods you can and can’t get your hands on
This is the part most of you are interested in.
I know you have someone in your friend circle who loves eating fast food and still stay in great shape. I bet you also know someone who eats too healthily but is still struggling to lose weight.
How can this happen? Well, the answer is imbalance. It is very important to have a balanced diet. Eating too healthily or too unhealthy will not help you. Diet experts take care of this fact and add places in your diet plan where you can eat whatever you want because sometimes, eating junk food is refreshing to the mind.
By the way, you should know what Queen Hadid says about food:
“Eat clean to stay fit; have a burger to stay sane” – Gigi Hadid.
The reason why I am bringing this quote up is that I want you to know that balance in the diet is everything until whatever you are consuming is nourishing your body and yes, that includes your mind. If you haven’t had a burger for a long time and all you can think of is a burger, then go have one. Otherwise, your mind won’t be able to focus on anything else. Nourishing your mind and body is vital if you wish to lose weight.
Having said that, let’s move ahead and see what you should really consume.
Protein is a must-have
There is no surprise to read that protein is crucial in your diet. I know you were waiting for this one to pop up because we all know how important it is. Protein, out of all macro-nutrients, takes the longest to digest. Hence, it becomes the most filling food you can eat. It also plays an important role in muscle recovery, which becomes a basic need when working out. Another amazing thing about protein is that it helps burn calories as it has a very high Thermic Effect of Food (TEF).
Sources of protein
If you consume meat, here are options for you:
- Chicken breast
- Turkey breast
- Steak
- Kangaroo
- Tuna steak
- Salmon
- Dover Sole and
- Halibut
For vegetarians, here are some options:
- Tofu
- Tempeh
- Seitan and
- Lentils
There are a lot of dairy products that are also an amazing source of protein including:
- Eggs
- Greek yoghurt
- Feta cheese and
- Whole milk
There is one misconception about protein consumption and that is vegetarians do not have a lot of options; it is really not true. The things that I have mentioned above are just a few of the many vegetarian protein source options. There are a lot of foods that vegetarians can eat to get protein.
Fruit and Vegetables
Fruit and vegetables are very economic in their calories and that’s why you can eat a lot of it for not a lot of calories. In fact, I would say that fruit should be your best friend. I especially recommend my clients consume green veggies because they literally the powerhouse. Vegetables are filling and help you have a lot of energy. Green vegetables are very beneficial for your body. Fruit, such as berries (all varieties), apples, oranges, watermelon, peaches and pineapple should also be on your grocery shopping list. The best part of my women’s weight loss diet plan is that you get to eat a lot of tasty fruit and vegetables that you thought were not good enough for your taste buds. If you think that eating green means compromising with your taste buds, you are wrong. There are some great recipes you can try and trust me, you won’t regret it.
Drink water and other zero calorie beverages
No matter how clean you eat, until your body is not releasing toxins, it is not going to become the best version of itself. Therefore, drinking a lot of water is important. Water is responsible for detoxification of the body, which means no matter what you eat, your body will not clean itself until you drinking enough water.
Typically, it is recommended you drink a minimum of three liters of water per day. However, water is not the only thing you can consume. Zero calorie drinks are also a good option.
A women weight loss diet plan is more than a diet. It helps with a new start to yourself and your body. This plan is not only important for the fitness of your body, but your mind as well. A fit body will make you more energetic, positive and confident, and I know this is what you have been wanting forever.
There you go! This is all I would like to mention about my women’s weight loss diet plan. I hope now you know that being on diet does not mean you have to stay miles away from your favourite food and starve. You just have to be disciplined and focused on your body and its requirement. With the help of a health expert, you can get closer to your fitness goals.
